Drip coffee maker
The electric "greca de filtro". Easy for several cups at once.

The electric drip machine does the pouring for you, which makes it the easiest way to brew for a family. Three habits make the difference.
You need
- The machine and a paper or permanent filter
- 60 g of coffee per liter of water (about 6 cups)
Steps
- Fill the tank with fresh, filtered water.
- Weigh or measure the coffee for that amount of water. The lines on the jug are a guide to the water, not to how much coffee to use.
- Start the machine and wait for it to finish.
- Serve right away, or pour it into a thermos.
Common mistakes
- Leaving the jug on the hot plate. It keeps cooking the coffee and turns it bitter within half an hour.
- Never descaling. Every month or two, run a cycle of half water and half vinegar, then two cycles of clean water.
- Old coffee in the basket. Empty and rinse it after every use.
